Teak (Tectona grandis L.) is native to Southeast Asia, India, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam, where it can reach heights of up to 40 meters. Currently plantations are also found in tropical areas in Africa and in Latin America, where trees grow faster than in their place of origin, which reduces the number of shifts and makes their use more interesting every day.

The teak trees were planted in the year 2000 and the lands where the plantation was made are located within the humid tropical climate zone of Panama.
PLANTATION, CARE AND TALA
The plantation was part of a reforestation project in lands located to the west of Panama City, District of Arraiján, Province of Panamá Oeste.

- It has an approximate density of 690 Kg / m3. Being therefore a heavy wood.
